Onthophagus pentacanthus

Big and bold, it is an eye-catching design that will add a dark edge to your look. This piece consists of a life-sized scarab beetle made in sterling silver, highlighted with gold plating, set with a single diamond in the pronotum and a trail of garnets along the thorax. The natural realism continues with the twig detailing around the band, a feature found in all of the rings from Entomology. One of the collection’s most sought-after pieces, the Gilded Scarab Beetle ring is attention grabbing yet elegant enough for even the daintiest of hands and sure to pull focus at any event.

This piece is designed in London, handcrafted using traditional lost wax casting, and hallmarked by the London Assay Office.

MATERIALS & CARE

This ring comes in oxidised Sterling Silver with vermeil details, a white diamond and row of garnets. If you would prefer polished silver, or any other metal, get in touch at hello@yasmineverley.com.

Solid Sterling Silver can become tarnished over time, if this happens the most simple way to restore the necklace is to use a polishing cloth. I do not recommend Silver Dip on oxidised pieces as this will remove the oxidation. The 24ct gold plating is three microns thick but over time it may begin to fade with wear and it should not be polished too often. Always remove your jewellery for sports or when using harsh chemicals. Please read my guide to jewellery care to ensure it lasts for many years.
