My mother, Joy Everley, is a designer with an ardent following in Soho, and so I have been surrounded by jewellery for longer than I can remember. However, my degree in Classical Studies, combined with my love of the late 18th and early 19th century – the age of exploration and excavation – has provided my main source of inspiration.
