From the Astrology collection, the ring has split shoulders supporting two tiny black diamonds which represent the infinite darkness of the unknown. In the centre, a circle - considered by the Ancient Greeks to be the most geometrically perfect shape – and within it a cluster of the stars accurately forms the constellation, suspended in space by a delicate wire. This ring usually comes in bright polished Sterling Silver but also look great in oxidised silver if you prefer. The side view shows Sagittarius but illustrates the three dimensional nature of the design.
In the Ancient Greek tale, Taurus is often thought to be the animal who sired the Minotaur after Poseidon causes Queen Pasiphae mad with love for the bull to punish King Minos. He later became wild and had to be captured by Heracles for his seventh task. Taurus is also associated with the bull that Zeus took as a disguise when he abducted Pasiphae’s mother Europa.
